Senator Dan Hall Awarded “Dirty Dozen” Distinction

Minneapolis—Last week, The League of Conservation Voters (LCV) announced that Senator Dan Hall has been included among their 2020 “Dirty Dozen in the States” honorees. This group of elected officials across the country have earned this distinction by reliably siding against clean air and clean water.

In response, Climate Vote Minnesota released the following statement from Chair Marcus Starr.

“We’re disappointed, yet not surprised to see that Senator Hall has earned this infamous honor. Whether it’s believing climate change is a hoax, voting to remove Governor Walz’s authority to implement Clean Cars Minnesota, or obstructing bipartisan clean energy legislation, Senator Hall has always sides with Big Oil and Coal. With only two weeks left until Election Day and voters already casting their ballots, Climate Vote MN has been and will continue to work hard to ensure the voters of Burnsville, Savage, and parts of Lakeville are aware of their climate choices in the state senate.”

Climate Vote Minnesota is a nonpartisan organization working to elect candidates who champion policies that protect our climate for current and future generations. The organization is investing over $600,000 in the 2020 election to make sure voters know their state legislators stand on climate policy.
