Climate Vote MN Statement on Farmfest
Gubernatorial Debate

Redwood County, MN—Climate Vote Minnesota’s Campaigns Director Marcus Starr released the following statement in response to gubernatorial candidate Scott Jensen’s answers to climate-related questions during today’s debate at Farmfest:

Minnesotans are looking for responsible and forward-thinking leadership from their Governor. Through his rants of debunked conspiracy theories, Scott Jensen questioned the science around climate change and minimized the impact it’s having on Minnesotans. He wants to repeal our ability to regulate clean air and revert to mining without restrictions. A backward-thinking Jensen administration would be an abject disaster for our Great Outdoors and the things that make Minnesota special.

Climate Vote Minnesota is a nonpartisan organization working to elect candidates who champion policies that protect our climate for current and future generations. The organization was established in 2020 to ensure voters know where their state candidates stand on climate and environmental policy.
